2. Controller vs processor

We act as data controller when you visit paisel.eu, request a demo, or use a Paisel subscription or dashboard as a clinic customer.

We act as data processor when we handle personal data on behalf of a clinic through the Paisel chat widget on the clinic's website (for example chat messages and contact details). In that case the clinic is the data controller and is responsible for informing its visitors.

3. What we collect and why

Communication data — messages you send via contact forms, email, or support. Purpose: respond to you and keep records. Legal basis: legitimate interests and contract.

Customer and account data — name, clinic name, business email, phone, billing details, login identifiers. Purpose: provide the service and manage accounts. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.

Payment data — transaction status and references. Card numbers are not stored by us; payments are processed by Stripe, Revolut, or bank transfer as agreed. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.

Widget and chat data — messages, name, email, phone (if provided), consent timestamp, and session metadata on clinic websites. Purpose: AI-assisted consultation and lead capture on behalf of the clinic. Legal basis: consent (checkbox before first message) and the clinic's lawful basis as controller.

Technical and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, logs, and analytics data. Purpose: security, operation, and improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests; consent for non-essential cookies.

Marketing data — your preferences for receiving marketing. Legal basis: consent or legitimate interests where permitted, with opt-out at any time.

We do not intentionally collect special category health data except what you voluntarily type in chat. Do not share unnecessary medical information in the widget.

4. How we collect data

Directly from you (forms, email, chat, dashboard, contracts, payment checkout).

From clinic customers who upload configuration and knowledge content.

From payment and infrastructure providers (e.g. Stripe, Revolut).

5. Marketing

We may send product updates if you requested information or agreed to marketing. You can opt out anytime via unsubscribe links or by emailing info@paisel.eu.

We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing without your explicit consent.

6. Who we share data with

We require processors to protect data and process it only on our instructions. Contact info@paisel.eu for the current sub-processor list.

Clinic customers can access widget data through their dashboard and exports.

• Stripe and Revolut — payment processing
• Automation and integrations (e.g. WhatsApp, Telegram, email) — notifications configured per clinic
• Google Analytics — website analytics on paisel.eu

• Professional advisers, authorities where required by law, and successors in a business transfer

7. International transfers

Some providers (notably OpenAI in the United States) may process data outside the European Economic Area. We use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

8. Security and retention

We use HTTPS, access controls, tenant isolation, API key authentication, and minimised logging to protect personal data.

We retain data only as long as necessary: marketing enquiries up to 24 months; B2B and billing records for the contract period plus up to 7 years where required by law; chat conversations up to 12 months unless otherwise agreed; server logs up to 30 days.

9. Your rights

If you are in the EEA or UK you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing, and receive a portable copy of your data, and to withdraw consent.

Widget users: contact the clinic first for data processed on their website. We assist clinics as processor within 30 days.

Direct requests to us: email info@paisel.eu with subject line "Privacy request". We aim to respond within one month.
